In a fiery interview today, Sebastian Gorka, former counterterrorism advisor to former U.S. President Donald Trump, issued strong statements about Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a “thug” responsible for the deaths of countless people.
Gorka, known for his outspoken views, emphasized that Trump would demand Putin sit down at the negotiation table unconditionally. He warned that if Putin refused, Trump would escalate the U.S. military support for Ukraine to such an extent that it would make President Joe Biden’s current assistance seem insignificant.
“We will flood Ukraine with weapons,” Gorka declared, adding that this would dramatically change the balance of power on the battlefield. “What Biden is doing is peanuts compared to what we will do,” he said, underscoring the potential shift in U.S. foreign policy under a potential Trump administration.
Gorka’s remarks have already ignited debates, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. His tough rhetoric against Putin and his unwavering support for Ukraine come as tensions in the region continue to escalate, with global leaders calling for diplomatic solutions but also preparing for further confrontation.
Trump has yet to respond directly to Gorka’s interview, but his advisor’s words clearly signal that should the former president return to power, his approach to Ukraine—and relations with Russia—would take a markedly aggressive turn.
