Expert Jeton Halimi in an interview with Euronews Albania emphasized that Serbs in Kosovo are commanded by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
His statement comes after the Serb List, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, announced on Sunday that it would not participate in a referendum to dismiss the Albanian mayors of four majority-Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo, scheduled for April 21.
Additionally, he urged the Kosovo government not to allow the Serb List any room to operate in Kosovo.
“Everything is manipulated by Vučić’s order. It’s a big mistake for the Serb List to be led by Vučić, focusing only on its own interests. Every citizen has realized this. The orders come from Vučić, who tries to undermine every successful endeavor in Kosovo and prevent progress.
That’s why I say that their actions should not be taken for granted. The non-participation of Serbs only harms them and not Serbian politicians. They only serve the politics of Aleksandar Vučić. Kosovo needs to be vigilant and not allow any manipulation as is being attempted. Do not give the Serb List any room to act,” he said.
