A car without license plates blocked the road and then threw glass bottles towards the official vehicles of the Rapid Intervention Unit (RIU) of the Kosovo Police and the American KFOR in the village of Miokovicë in Leposaviq.
According to the police, the attack occurred today around 04:00, while the police and KFOR were on joint patrol.
“The suspect then fled towards some houses nearby in the village. The Kosovo Police together with KFOR identified the house and conducted a search where the male Kosovar suspect, who admitted to blocking the road and throwing the bottle, was arrested. During the search of the suspect’s house, a military jacket with a Serbian emblem was found.
The vehicle that blocked the road has been seized, and after being interviewed by the competent investigative unit, the suspect was released pending further investigation, while the investigations into the case are ongoing,” the statement said.
