The Mayor of Presheva, Ardita Sinani, stated that the Albanians of the Valley have shown that “they do not submit or remain silent, even in the face of the non-implementation of agreements signed by Belgrade itself,” during today’s march for “identity and dignity.”
Sinani wrote, “Presheva could not be the place that unites the Albanians of the Valley.” In the protest march for IDENTITY & DIGNITY, voices were raised against oppression and discrimination. — In front of the police station, there was a call to stop the selective process of deactivation and to restore the addresses of deactivated Albanians. — At the Health House, there was a demand that this institution not become a house of discrimination. — Near the Coordinating Body office, we referred to this institution as the Coordinating Body, and in front of the Court, we called for the restoration of this institution,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
She emphasized that their battles as Albanians will continue.
“Today, we demonstrated once again that the Albanians of the Valley neither submit nor remain silent, even despite the non-implementation of agreements signed by Belgrade itself. Our battles as Albanians will continue, no matter how difficult the road may be until the full realization of our rights,” wrote Sinani.
