The Supreme Court of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers has rejected the request of former Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli for interim release.
According to the official statement of the Specialist Chambers, on December 19, 2025, the Supreme Court Panel, composed of judges Ekaterina Trendafilova (Presiding), Kristine van den Wyngaert, and Daniel Fransen, dismissed Veseli’s request for a legal safeguard, which had been submitted confidentially in November of this year.
The request concerned a decision by the Appeals Panel dated August 13, 2025, which had confirmed the Trial Panel’s rejection of Veseli’s previous interim release request.
With this latest decision by the Supreme Court, the refusal of Kadri Veseli’s interim release remains in effect, while judicial proceedings against him continue at the Specialist Chambers.
