The Kosovo national team achieved a historic 2:0 victory over Sweden in their Group B qualifier for the 2026 World Cup, marking the biggest win in the team’s history.

The goals for Kosovo came in the first half, with Elvis Rexhbecaj and Vedat Muriqi both finding the net, restoring confidence after the heavy defeat against Switzerland.

Under the guidance of coach Franco Foda, Kosovo displayed excellent organization and clinical finishing, creating several more clear chances beyond the goals scored. Meanwhile, Sweden, coached by Jon Dahl Tomasson, dominated possession but failed to respond, falling short at the “Fadil Vokrri” Stadium.
