The terrorist attack in Banja on September 24, where the hero Afrim Bunjaku was killed, could be repeated, as there are unresolved contexts between Kosovo and Serbia.
This is stated by the deputy and member of the Security Commission from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Anton Quni, emphasizing that in the current situation between these two states, there is always a risk of ethnic tensions and escalation.
And on this subject, in a statement to “Bota sot”, former KLA commander Hafir Hoxha spoke.
He said he knows the Serbian army, just like Quni does, and they know their appetites.
According to him, Serbia’s continuous armament shows that they aim to enter Kosovo.
“Anton Quni is a former soldier, and we soldiers, by being well acquainted with the generals commanding the Serbian army at this time, know their appetites very well.
With the fact that regularly Serbia’s army armaments with offensive/assault weapons of large caliber artillery and rockets, their military drills and their permanent concentration on the border with Kosovo, the logic is clearer that they aim to intervene in northern Kosovo up to those lines where they aim to divide Kosovo,” he said.
Furthermore, the former soldier says that the possible attack depends on the situation between Russia and Ukraine.
Emphasizing, Hoxha states that we must be prepared to defend ourselves.
“The moment when this can happen depends on the situation between Russia and Ukraine. Therefore, I regularly raise my voice that it has been long overdue to finalize the National Doctrine for the defense of Kosovo in case of an attack by Serbia.
So for us, even though delayed, we must prepare and be ready to defend ourselves with our forces, not expecting NATO’s sons and daughters to do that duty,” concluded former commander Hafir Hoxha for “Bota sot”.
