Peter Stano, spokesperson for the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, refused to provide details regarding the “withdrawal” of the letter from Serbia’s former prime minister, Ana Bërnabiq, concerning the non-implementation of the Agreement on the normalization of relations with Kosovo.
A few days ago, the EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, stated that “the letter has been withdrawn,” without providing further details.
When asked on Tuesday during a press conference to provide details and confirm the withdrawal of the letter, Stano said that he could not add anything beyond what Lajčák had already stated.
“Why, when, how, and whether Serbia has done something or not, is not for us to address, but it’s up to the Serbian authorities to answer these questions,” he said.
However, Stano added that Kosovo and Serbia are obligated to implement the Ohrid Agreement “without delay.”
