The Kosovo Police has announced that on the mountain road from the village of Ranillug (RKS), in the direction of the village of Konçul (Serbia), they found two cameras with solar panels, which were placed to monitor the roads.
In the police announcement, it is said that it is suspected that the cameras were installed by people suspected of smuggling goods.
“The TASK FORCE-Lindje unit (consisting of Kosovo Police and Customs), after receiving information from the Intelligence Unit of the Eastern Border Police, about suspicions of unauthorized placement of cameras in the border zone in the middle of the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, on 06.05.2024, on the mountain road from the village of Ranillug (RKS), in the direction of the village of Konçul (Serbia), they found two solar cameras, which were placed to observe the roads”, it is announced in the announcement.
The police announce that a vehicle with Serbian license plates, driven by J. S., 30 years old, with dual citizenship (of Serbia and Kosovo) was also stopped in the same place.
He is suspected of having gone to the area to take care of the camera that the officers had seized a little while ago.
