The Government of Japan is considering the possibility of lifting visas for all Kosovo citizens as soon as possible.

This was confirmed by an official of this country during a meeting with a group of local journalists.

As of March 25 this year, the Government of Japan removed visa requirements for Kosovo citizens holding diplomatic and official passports.

It is believed that this topic was also a point of discussion in yesterday’s talks between Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla.

This visit was the first by such a high-ranking official from the Asian country to Pristina since diplomatic relations were established 15 years ago.

During the meeting with Prime Minister Kurti, Kamikawa stated that “peace and stability in the Western Balkans are essential for all of Europe.”
