Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has commented on how Serbia is intensifying its cooperation with Russia, China, and Iran.
Based on this, the head of Kosovo’s government warned that there is a real risk of a new war in the region.
On this matter, Serbian lawyer Čedomir Stojković gave a statement to “Bota sot.”
Initially, he expressed that Serbia has a higher level of cooperation with the aforementioned states than EU members have among themselves.
In addition, he criticized Serbia’s new government, which includes Russian agents and individuals sanctioned by the U.S.
Serbia’s Closer Ties with Russia and China are Absolutely Evident and Prime Minister Kurti is Right
“The Chinese President recently visited Serbia and signed an agreement with Aleksandar Vučić to elevate the cooperation between the two countries from the level of a strategic partnership to the level of a shared future. This level of shared future represents a higher level of cooperation than what exists among EU members themselves and with the EU.
Additionally, Serbia’s new government includes two members sanctioned by the U.S. as agents of Vladimir Putin, namely Nenad Popović and Aleksandar Vulin. Simultaneously, four other government members were identified on the TIPARS list by the October Group as direct agents of Vladimir Putin, while ten other government members were declared Russophiles. These individuals aim to follow Russian interests, not the interests of Serbia or the region,” he declared.
Stojković also spoke about the resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, revealing Vučić’s plan for the Association of Serbian Municipalities in northern Kosovo.
“Yesterday, after the UN resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica was approved, Milorad Dodik declared the secession and separation of Republika Srpska from Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is also Aleksandar Vučić’s plan for northern Kosovo through the Association of Serbian Municipalities, where at some point, he will claim that Pristina is threatening the rights of Serbs, as Dodik did in Bosnia, and then separate the Association of Serbian Municipalities from Kosovo.
Given that the current Serbian government looks more like a war cabinet and certainly does not seem like a government that wants to bring Serbia closer to the European Union, we can be sure that the plan to create a conflict exists,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, the lawyer called for a response from the international community and also demanded Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe (CoE).
“If you keep Kosovo outside the CoE, then you invite aggressive leaders to invade it.
“The West needs to see these facts and ensure the protection of the region. This means accepting Kosovo into international organizations, which will protect its sovereignty, and on the other hand, support for the integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. While the West is consistent with Bosnia and Herzegovina, the West is not consistent with Kosovo, which still has not been accepted into the Council of Europe. The Council of Europe was created as an institution for maintaining peace and therefore the West, to prevent conflicts in the Balkans, should include Kosovo in the Council of Europe and not keep it outside. Keeping Kosovo outside the Council of Europe is an invitation for aggressive leaders to invade it. Aleksandar Vučić is an aggressive leader,” concluded Čedomir Stojković for “Bota sot.”
