Akil Gjakova has secured the judo semi-final within the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games.
Akili managed to triumph over Manuel Lombardo, in the -73kg category.
Now, the Kosovar competitor is close to securing a medal for our country.
Akili reached this point after eliminating the Austrian Samuel Gassner with Ippon in the second stage, and in the first round against the Brazilian Daniel Cargni.
Now, in the semi-finals, Gjakova will face Hidayat HEYDAROV from Azerbaijan.
