Full Statement:
Dear citizens,
In recent days, due to heavy rain and snowfall, several floods have caused problems on multiple roads in Kosovo.
- On the Prishtina – Ferizaj road, water has accumulated due to illegal blockages in drainage channels, leading to temporary road closures. Our teams are working on draining the water, and traffic is expected to resume today.
- At the Mazgit underpass toward the highway, water has gathered because of a blocked drainage channel. Intensive work is ongoing to unblock the road.
- On the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway, landslides have occurred. Crews are currently working on rapid repairs to restore normal traffic flow.
- In Sllatinë, on the Fushë Kosovë – Gjurgjicë road, water accumulation is affecting travel. Emergency repair teams are on site, and normal traffic is expected to resume soon.
- On the Zhur–Dragash road, there is movement of the roadbed. Appropriate signaling has been placed, and traffic is currently running on a single lane.
We ask for citizens’ understanding until these problems are fully resolved and advise avoiding unnecessary travel in these areas.
