U.S. President Donald Trump has once again sparked controversy with a misstatement during a recent interview on Fox News, where he claimed that he had stopped a war between “Azerbaijan and Albania”, clearly confusing it with the actual conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

During his remarks, Trump attempted to highlight his role in resolving several international disputes, including the long-standing tensions in the South Caucasus. However, instead of referring to Armenia, he mistakenly mentioned Albania — a country not involved in the conflict.

This is not the first time Trump has struggled with the correct pronunciation or identification of Azerbaijan and Armenia in his public statements.

The comments were part of a broader list in which Trump claimed credit for resolving seven global conflicts during the first six months of his second presidential term.
