US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will meet with Iran on Tuesday in Doha.
“IRAN HAS REQUESTED A MEETING. IT WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW IN DOHA!” Trump wrote on Truth Social early Monday.
Earlier, Iran’s chief negotiator, Kazem Gharibabadi, told reporters that no meetings of the technical working groups had been scheduled for this week.
Meanwhile, a senior US official told CNN on Sunday that technical discussions regarding the memorandum of understanding are proceeding “as planned,” despite the recent exchange of military strikes between the United States and Iran.
