The elected U.S. President, Donald Trump, held a joint meeting today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, where world leaders gathered for the reopening ceremony of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, reports Gazeta Express.
According to CNN, the meeting between the three leaders lasted just over half an hour.
It was also confirmed that both the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents were initially scheduled to have separate meetings with President Macron.
Ukrainian President Zelensky had previously expressed at the end of last month that he was ready to work with Trump and was open to new ideas for resolving ongoing challenges.
However, aside from the meeting and a group photo taken of the three leaders together, no public statements were made by the leaders to the media.
The brief meeting reflects the ongoing efforts to foster dialogue between key global leaders, especially amid heightened tensions regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine and broader international concerns.
