U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that American forces could soon launch an attack against a fortified Iranian nuclear facility reportedly known by the codename “Axina Mountain,” as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high.
Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters, leaving open the possibility of a U.S. strike against the site in the near term.
According to the information cited in the report, “Axina Mountain” is the codename for a heavily fortified Iranian nuclear facility located near the Natanz nuclear complex.
The facility reportedly includes two tunnel complexes built deep underground and is considered one of the most heavily protected elements of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Trump also characterized the confrontation with Iran as a conflict that, in his assessment, the United States could manage relatively easily.
