Turkey has donated around 1 million dollars to strengthen the military capacities of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).

The news was announced by the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, through a Facebook post, where he stated that this donation is part of the Turkish government’s external military support program.

“Yesterday, we officially received the decision from the Government of the Republic of Turkey, which has allocated 31 million lira, or approximately 1 million U.S. dollars, as a donation to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo for the enhancement of the KSF’s military capacities. This donation is part of the Turkish government’s external military support program.

The relations between our two countries have always been at the highest levels, and the Republic of Turkey’s contribution to the enhancement of the Kosovo Security Force’s capacities has been continuous, both in terms of training and military equipment. I thank the Republic of Turkey for the donation and assure that our cooperation, built on mutual trust, will continue in the years to come. Turkey, as a friendly state, remains one of the most important strategic partners for the Republic of Kosovo,” wrote the minister.
