The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom has warned against all travel to Israel, raising concerns about the escalation of regional conflict following the declaration of a state of emergency in the country on June 13, Gazeta Sinjali reports.
The official announcement states that the situation “could deteriorate further, quickly and without warning,” while Israeli airspace remains closed and flights to and from the country have been suspended.
The FCDO also prohibits all travel to the Gaza Strip, as well as within 500 meters of the border with Syria.
Furthermore, complete avoidance of travel to the cities of Tulkarm, Jenin, and Tubas is advised, along with non-essential travel to the rest of the West Bank, with the exception of East Jerusalem.
British authorities advise citizens to follow the instructions of the Israeli government, as new restrictions may be imposed without prior notice.
