The Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, Anu Prattipati, has highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and Kosovo through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), valued at $237 million.
Speaking at a joint event organized by MCC and Kosovo institutions, Prattipati emphasized that this historic investment is playing a key role in strengthening the country’s energy security.
According to her, the project aims to address unreliable electricity supply, improve system stability, and create new economic opportunities.
“This historic investment is strengthening energy security by addressing unreliable electricity supply, while creating new business opportunities for American companies in energy infrastructure, energy storage, and workforce development,” the U.S. Embassy statement said.
She also underlined the direct link between energy and national security, stressing that this partnership supports long-term economic growth and overall stability.
