Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi was the key figure in the national team’s 2-0 victory over Sweden last night in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Playing at the “Fadil Vokrri” Stadium in Prishtina, Muriqi scored Kosovo’s second goal, sealing the first three points under coach Franco Foda.
A day after the historic win, the RCD Mallorca forward expressed his joy in a social media post.
“Mentality, character, fighting spirit – that’s who we are,” Muriqi wrote on Instagram, highlighting the determination and unity of the “Dardanët”.
The victory marked a major boost for Kosovo’s qualifying campaign, giving both the players and the fans renewed optimism for the matches ahead.
