The vote-counting process in Kosovo was suspended yesterday at 12:00 noon and is scheduled to resume this afternoon at 16:00, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Based on over 78 percent of ballots counted so far, preliminary results indicate that Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (LVV) continues to lead with close to 50 percent of the vote, maintaining a strong advantage over its competitors.
Current Results After 78% of Votes Counted
According to data published on the official CEC platform, 1,991 out of 2,557 polling stations have been processed, covering results from 27 municipalities. The standings are as follows:
- Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (LVV): 332,000 votes – 48.48%
- Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK): nearly 148,000 votes – 21.60%

Minority Representation
Among the Serb community, Lista Serbe has secured nine parliamentary seats with more than 40,000 votes, while one seat has been won by the party led by Nenad Rašić.
Notably, for the first time in many years, the Bosniak community will not have representation in the Assembly, as Duda Balje failed to secure a seat.
Counting to Resume in Key Municipalities
Vote counting will continue today at 16:00 in 11 municipalities, including Prishtina, Peja, Prizren, Podujeva, South Mitrovica, Gjakova, Malisheva, Lipjan, Gjilan, Ferizaj, and Suhareka.
At the Counting and Results Center, the CEC has also continued the verification of postal voting packages from outside Kosovo, related to diaspora voting.
Out of 58,000 registered diaspora voters, a portion of ballot packages has already been received. Counting of out-of-country votes is expected to begin later this week, with the exact date yet to be announced.
In addition, authorities will count:
- Over 9,900 conditional ballots
- Votes from approximately 2,860 voters with special needs
- More than 16,000 ballots cast at embassies and consulates worldwide
Outlook
While final results are still pending, the current trend confirms a decisive victory for Vetëvendosje, placing the party in a strong position to form the next government, once all domestic and international votes are fully processed.
