The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, told the media in Brussels that during the round of high-level dialogue, he did not meet with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, despite the fact that such a meeting was announced by the European Union.

“There was no meeting with Kurti because Kurti did not want or dare – ask him – to meet me and talk. I believe that you will learn more about this from the Europeans”, Vucic said during a statement to the media.

Vucic said that he returned three times to the meeting with the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, and the bloc’s envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, who conveyed Kurt’s messages to him, to which he responded. He correctly assessed the meeting with the European mediators.

Despite the fact that the EU had warned that a tripartite meeting would be held after the bilateral meetings, it did not happen.

Before the meetings with Kurti and Vucic, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that he expects that today’s dialogue meeting between Kosovo and Serbia will discuss the achievements in the dialogue, but also the start of the implementation of the Agreement on the way to the normalization of relations.
