Political analyst Avni Islami has criticized Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić for using Kosovo as a political shield to deflect attention from mass protests in Serbia.
Vučić, speaking on Serbia’s Statehood Day, reiterated that Belgrade would not accept what he called “capitulation on Kosovo.” He framed the issue as strategically crucial for Serbia’s territorial integrity.

In a Facebook post, Islami noted that Vučić highlighted three main reasons behind what he called an attempted “color revolution” in Serbia. One of them, according to Vučić, was Serbia’s refusal to compromise on Kosovo, emphasizing its significance to the country’s sovereignty.
“Serbia does not accept capitulation,” Vučić declared, adding that Kosovo remains a part of Serbia’s territory. He also expressed gratitude to the Serb List and Serbian representatives in Kosovo for their support.
Meanwhile, protests continue in Serbia, with demonstrators calling for government accountability and democratic reforms, raising concerns that Vučić may be using nationalist rhetoric to consolidate his power amid domestic unrest.
