Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said Wednesday that the situation regarding Kosovo’s accession to the Council of Europe (CoE) is unclear, but that Germany is waging a “brutal campaign” for its membership in this organization.
“They will have between 29 and 33 votes, and 31 is the majority needed, so everything is up in the air,” Vučić said during a tour of the EXPO 2027 construction site on the outskirts of Belgrade.
“Serbia will continue to fight, but we cannot compete with Germany, France, and others,” he said.
“They are using various tricks, even when it comes to establishing the Association of Municipalities with Serbian majority,” Vučić added.
