The Central Election Commission has published the preliminary results of the votes received by candidates for deputy.
From the February 9th elections, some have received more votes, while others fewer, writes RKS NEWS.
But how do the former heads of parliamentary groups stand with votes, and have they managed to secure another mandate in the upcoming legislature?
The head of the parliamentary group of the party that was in the majority, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, who is also the chairwoman of Alternativa, has gathered 61,945 votes.
Thus, Kusari-Lila is expected to secure another mandate in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, as the ninth most voted in the LVV-Guxo-Alternativa list.
The second-ranked head of a parliamentary group is Abelard Tahiri from the PDK. He received 18,629 votes and is more likely to be part of the next legislature.
Arbën Gashi, who was the head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic League of Kosovo for four years, received fewer votes, gathering 13,719 votes in the February 9th elections, and is expected to be part of the Assembly again.
Meanwhile, the head of the parliamentary group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Besnik Tahiri, seems to have failed to secure another mandate, with 8,000 votes.
It should be noted that only 90.41% of the polling stations have been counted.
The aforementioned results may change after the counting of conditional votes and those from the diaspora.
