French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France was neither informed nor involved in the recent U.S. and Israeli aerial strikes on Iran. Macron emphasized that Paris had no prior notification about the attacks and played no part in planning or executing them.

He underscored that France’s absolute priority is the safety of French citizens and French assets, especially given ongoing tensions in the region. Macron also stressed the importance of increasing diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis, arguing that military action alone cannot achieve a lasting solution to issues such as Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic activities, and regional destabilization.

In response to the escalation, Macron called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council to address the conflict and push for de-escalation through diplomacy.
