Prime Minister Edi Rama held a phone conversation with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which he expressed Tirana’s official position on the escalating situation in the region.
The head of government described the attacks as violations of international law, emphasizing that Albania stands alongside the United Arab Emirates in safeguarding its sovereignty and security, according to local media reports.
During the call, the two leaders also discussed the rapid military escalation in the region, stressing that tensions must be de-escalated as soon as possible and that the conflict should not expand further, as it risks pushing the region into a dangerous phase of instability, with consequences not only for the Middle East but also for global security.
The UAE President thanked Albania for its support and solidarity during this delicate moment.
