The news was first reported by NewsNation TV journalist Kelly Meyer, who wrote on X that she had spoken directly with the President.

“I just spoke with President Trump. He said you will soon learn what the response will be to the attack on the U.S. embassy in Riyadh and the killing of American service members,” Meyer posted.

According to her, Trump also emphasized that he does not consider it necessary to deploy U.S. ground troops to Iran at this time.
