A 4.8-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded this morning near the city of Merkezefendi, Turkey.
According to seismological data, the tremor had a depth of approximately 3.8 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was located about 27 kilometers northwest of Merkezefendi and 14 kilometers north of the city of Sarayköy.
Preliminary reports indicate that the earthquake was felt in several surrounding areas. So far, there are no reports of damage or injuries, while authorities and seismological institutions continue to monitor the situation.
