The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, held a phone conversation with the Minister of State for Europe and North America of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Stephen Doughty.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, during the call, Doughty reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for Kosovo and its international aspirations.
Konjufca thanked Doughty for the UK’s continued support in Kosovo’s state-building processes, as well as for its important role in strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring stability in the country.
“The discussion also covered opportunities to further expand cooperation between the two countries and to continue close coordination on issues of mutual interest at both bilateral and international levels,” the statement reads.
“The partnership between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom remains a key pillar for our country’s democratic development, security, and international advancement,” the Ministry added.
