The visits are scheduled to begin on May 12 in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and end on May 20 in Skopje, North Macedonia.
During her visit to Kosovo, Allen is expected to meet with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani, as stated in a media release.
“In Pristina, Kosovo, Assistant Secretary Allen will meet with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti to discuss U.S. support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration path and our partnership with Kosovo to combat foreign disinformation and malign influence,” the statement said.
She is also expected to visit American soldiers in the KFOR mission, interact with students, and visit an archaeological site in Dresnik.
“While in Kosovo, Assistant Secretary Allen will visit American service members deployed as part of the NATO Kosovo Force (KFOR) at Camp Nothing Hill, underscoring the United States’ commitment to regional stability and security. Undersecretary Allen will also engage in discussions with various Kosovo students engaged in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics subjects at the Rochester Institute of Technology – Kosovo. She will travel to Dresnik to uncover Roman-era mosaics that archaeologists are restoring with support from the U.S. Department of State’s Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation,” the statement further elaborated.
