President Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the 27th anniversary of the massacres in Kosovo, stating that Mother Ferdonije has endured a pain that never fades.
She emphasized that the four sons and husband of Ferdonije Qerkezi were violently abducted by forces of Serbia’s genocidal regime.
“The remains of two of her sons have been found a piece of the truth has been revealed. But for her two other sons and her husband, the search continues. A wait that is not only hers, but of our entire society. A wound that is still open,” Osmani wrote.
According to her, Ferdonije’s story is one of immense pain, but also extraordinary strength a testament that a mother’s love never surrenders.
