The ambassador of Serbia, Slobodan Vukčević, was summoned yesterday to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where he was asked for clarifications regarding the statements made by the deputy. Prime Minister Vulin referred to Prime Minister Rama’s visit and meeting with the Albanian diaspora in Greece.
The provocative statement of the Serbian official is contrary to the spirit of cooperative relations and does not serve peace and stability in the Balkan countries. Albania is an important factor that works and contributes to peace and security in our region and this is at the core of the cooperation with Serbia.
The MEPJ expects immediate reflection, so that such harmful, repeated statements do not affect our relations, which should be oriented towards good neighborliness and European integration. “Greater Albania can only be stopped by the Serbs and the Serbian world”. It was exactly this statement made by Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandër Vulin that caused reactions. The statement came after Prime Minister Edi Rama’s meeting with Albanian immigrants in Greece.
“The next time the government of Greece thinks about recognizing the so-called Kosovo, let it remember how the reception of Edi Rama looks like in the middle of Athens. What Rama could not experience in Tirana, he experienced in Athens”, said Vulin.
