The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has reacted to the arrest of another individual suspected of involvement in the terrorist attack in Banjska, Zvečan.
According to Sveçla, the arrested person is Stefan Radulović, who had been wanted by Kosovo authorities and is suspected of links to the organization and execution of the attack, allegedly aimed at annexing the northern part of the country.
“Terrorists have no place in our country, nor will they be able to evade responsibility indefinitely. Today, another suspected terrorist on the wanted list, Stefan Radulović, was arrested in connection with the terrorist attack in Banjska, Zvečan, aimed at annexing the north,” Sveçla wrote on Facebook.
He emphasized that security institutions remain determined to pursue all those involved in the case.
“The time of tolerance is over. They will be captured wherever they are found. We will continue relentlessly for constitutionality and legality,” the minister added.
Authorities state that operations to arrest other suspects connected to the Banjska case are ongoing.
Earlier in the evening, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo announced that it had detained a person with the initials S.R. on suspicion of involvement in serious criminal offenses, including the terrorist attack in Banjska, as well as crimes related to national security and the constitutional order.
According to the statement, the suspect was arrested by the Kosovo Police at the Merdarë border crossing point and, by decision of the prosecutor, has been detained for 48 hours.
S.R. is suspected of committing criminal offenses including “commission of a terrorist act” and “serious crimes against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.”
The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo stated that it will undertake all necessary investigative actions in accordance with applicable legislation and the Criminal Procedure Code, while ensuring the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
