Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that, just like him, Albulena Haxhiu remains the Acting President of Kosovo, despite having taken the oath as a member of parliament in the new legislature.
Kurti said that Haxhiu will continue to serve as Acting President, “as provided by the Constitution,” according to Gazeta Express.
“Just as it applies to me as Acting Prime Minister, the Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, will fully and faithfully respect the Constitution and the rule of law. We do not have a president, nor a president-elect; we have an Acting President, and that is Albulena Haxhiu. She will continue to serve in that role, exactly as the Constitution provides,” Kurti said today.
