Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed the country’s ambassadors to Albania, Croatia, and Montenegro.
The decisions were published in separate presidential decrees, according to European Pravda.
Under Decree No. 709/2026, Vasyl Kyrylych was relieved of his duties as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Croatia. Decree No. 710/2026 ended the mandate of Volodymyr Shkurov, who had served as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Albania since April 2020. Decree No. 711/2026 dismissed Oleh Herasymenko from his position as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Montenegro.
The reshuffle comes after Zelensky also dismissed Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, on August 3.
A few days after her dismissal, Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure requiring Stefanishyna to post bail of 6 million hryvnias (approximately $134,000) as part of an investigation into alleged illicit enrichment and false asset declarations.
Stefanishyna has stated that she does not have sufficient financial resources to pay the bail ordered by the court.
