The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said that “very good talks” are taking place with Iran, describing the country as behaving “somewhat nicely, as it has for 47 years.”
Trump stated that Iranian leaders want to close the Strait of Hormuz, but emphasized that the U.S. will not allow them to “blackmail” the country.
He added that the United States is maintaining a firm stance, according to BBC.
The president also said there would be “some information by the end of the day” regarding Iran, but did not answer any direct questions about the conflict before ending the session.
