Kosovo leads the Balkans in foreign investment growth in 2025, says Vela

Blerim Vela, a foreign policy adviser, announced that Kosovo recorded the highest growth in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Balkans for 2025 compared to the previous year.

In a post on X, Vela highlighted that Kosovo leads the region with a 30% increase, surpassing other Balkan countries.

According to him, Slovenia ranks second with a 19% increase, while Montenegro recorded a more modest growth of 8%.

On the other hand, several countries in the region experienced significant declines in FDI. North Macedonia saw the largest drop at -61%, followed by Serbia with -51%, while Croatia registered a decrease of -37%.
