This Thursday, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) is holding a commemorative meeting in honor of Professor Alush Gashi, who passed away on May 15 at the age of 75.
LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku said that Gashi belonged to one of the most difficult generations in Kosovo’s history.
“We are gathered to honor a great man. Alush Gashi remains a man of quality, a man of reason, a man of substance. He had a kind of presence that did not impose itself, but rather calmed people. He had a kind of authority that did not require force to be heard, because his wisdom alone was enough to earn respect,” he said.
“Because of this, our pain today is silent, but it is very heavy,” Abdixhiku added.
During his speech, Abdixhiku also reflected on personal memories and experiences he shared with the late Gashi.
