A new wave of Russian missile and drone attacks has struck the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, where reports indicate that the residential complex housing Albania’s ambassador to Ukraine was also damaged.

Following the incident, Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, reacted by describing the attack as “unacceptable” and a serious escalation of the war.

In his public statement, Hoxha announced that the Russian ambassador in Tirana had been summoned for explanations, while Albania strongly condemned attacks targeting civilian sites and the endangerment of diplomatic personnel.

According to him, the continued attacks on residential buildings, hospitals, and civilian infrastructure demonstrate a “complete disregard for human life,” stressing that Russia is causing only destruction and suffering.

Official Tirana reiterated its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, calling for an immediate halt to the attacks and a return to the negotiating table.
