What is known about two men, who are suspected to be members of the Serbian Gendarmerie, but who have been mentioned in public as part of the security detail of Milan Radoičić and Zvonko Veselinović—both on the United States’ sanctions list?
While Serbian authorities deny that the special police unit provides security to the duo, the N1 television network, citing its own sources, published the names of two individuals: Nikola Milutinović and Damjan Vukićević.
Radio Free Europe identified Milutinović in the company of Veselinović during a rally of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party held last year.
Radio Free Europe also identified a person with the same first and last name, based on publicly available information from media and social networks, as a member of the Gendarmerie unit in Kraljevo.
According to Radio Free Europe’s investigation, both individuals originate from Kosovo, as do Veselinović and Radoičić.
Veselinović and Radoičić are under United States sanctions on charges related to organized crime and corruption.
Radoičić is also wanted under an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol, on suspicion of organizing the armed attack in Banjska, Kosovo, in September 2023.
