In Pashtrik, the Freedom Trail was inaugurated, a project that commemorates the sacrifice and heroism of the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army. In addition to the memorial site, the Freedom Trail will also serve as a track for motorcycle races.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti was also present.
“We the people are the descendants of the KLA, who celebrate the liberation of our country, but at the same time we commemorate the sacrifice, the sacrifice, the heroic fall of those martyrs to whom we owe the joy of freedom and the state we enjoy. Glory to all the martyrs of the KLA and good luck to all motorcyclists”, said Kurti.
It was said there that the path is not only a place of remembrance and honor, but also an inspiration for future generations.
A path that has an extremely great meaning, a path that will be immortalized with its name and the generations that will come back starting from the name of the path to freedom will remember the sufferings that the people of Kosovo went through to reach this days, where today we are finding different ways to unite the border of Albanians among themselves and remove the barriers that we have had until today”, said Miftar Dauti, mayor of Kruma Municipality.
The realization of this project marks an important moment to remember and honor the sacrifice of those who fell for the freedom of Kosovo.
“In the confrontation with the enemy, 42 of our comrades-in-arms were confronted and gave their lives in this country. Today, where we are stepping, we are stepping through their blood from below the tombstone to the part where the motorcyclists will start the races”, said Mahir Hasani from the Kosovo Association for Search and Rescue.
This trail will offer a unique combination of history and sport for all visitors and motorcycle enthusiasts./RTK/
