A protest under the slogan “The KLA Unites Us” is scheduled to take place outside the Kosovo Assembly on Monday, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The protesters are calling for amendments to the law governing the Kosovo Specialist Chambers to be put to a vote in the Assembly.

A number of protesters remained outside the Assembly throughout the night ahead of Monday’s demonstration.

The protest has received support from veterans, students and other citizens, according to the organizers.

On Sunday, PDK Chairman Bedri Hamza said he was optimistic that the proposed amendments to the Specialist Chambers law would receive the necessary support from lawmakers.

The planned demonstration follows a series of nightly protests in Prishtina over the Specialist Chambers’ verdicts against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, with organizers calling on Kosovo institutions to take action regarding the court’s legal framework.
