NATO Joint Force Command Naples Commander Admiral George M. Wikoff, KFOR Commander Major General Roberto Vergori and Kosovo Police Director Gazmend Hoxha visited northern Kosovo on Thursday to observe joint patrols conducted by KFOR troops and the Kosovo Police.
During the visit on October 15, the officials observed personnel from both security institutions carrying out coordinated patrols in the northern part of the country.
According to a KFOR statement, Wikoff and Vergori also met with Zubin Potok Mayor Miloš Perović to discuss and assess the security situation in the municipality.
KFOR said it would continue monitoring developments on the ground, maintaining contact with all communities and preserving its operational readiness.
“KFOR continues to regularly assess the situation on the ground, engage with all communities and maintain operational readiness. It remains committed to fulfilling its mission with professionalism and impartiality,” the statement said.
The visit comes as KFOR continues its mission to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo, in coordination with the Kosovo Police and other relevant security institutions.
