Kosovo and Iowa Hold Joint Field Medicine Exercise’s

The Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, and the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, visited a joint exercise between the KSF and the U.S. military.

They closely observed the execution of the field medical exercise, which is being conducted in collaboration with the medical personnel of the Iowa National Guard and the medical regiment of the KSF. This exercise is part of the ongoing cooperation and partnership between the two forces.

According to our military, this exercise is being carried out as part of a training plan aimed at enhancing the capabilities of ROL1 and ROL2 field medicine and strengthening cooperation with the Iowa National Guard of the United States.

The Medical Regiment of the Logistics Command is leading the exercise, focusing on practical work and testing in various areas such as C3/C4, 9-Line, Triage, Medical Evacuation, Emergency Case Treatment, and Air Evacuation. These elements are crucial for preparing, training, and executing real-life cases on the battlefield.

The Minister and the KSF Commander highly praised the cooperation and assistance provided by the Iowa National Guard in enhancing the medical capacities within the Kosovo Security Force, as well as in other areas.
