President Vjosa Osmani has returned the Law on the National Security Council and the Law on Consumer Protection to the Parliament of Kosovo for reconsideration.
The Presidency has published the justifications for returning these two laws, stating that “based on her constitutional competencies, President Osmani has exercised her veto right, returning the two laws for reconsideration in the Parliament of Kosovo.”
The Presidency explained that the Law on the National Security Council was returned because its current content threatens national security and is in violation of the Constitution.
Meanwhile, the Law on Consumer Protection was returned because certain provisions risk endangering the protection of the environment and the health of citizens, rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution.
In the following post from the Presidency, you can find the relevant documents with the justifications.
