The next round of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia at the level of chief negotiators is set to take place on December 17, confirmed Klisman Kadiu, an advisor to Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi.
This announcement follows previous indications from Miroslav Lajčak, the European Union’s Special Representative for Dialogue, who had also confirmed the date for the continuation of the talks. However, the specific agenda for the meeting remains unclear, and it is uncertain whether the talks will include a three-party meeting with other key stakeholders.
The last dialogue session at the chief negotiators’ level took place on October 24. Following that meeting, Bislimi described the discussions as unproductive, particularly regarding the normalization of relations with Serbia. He referred to the October session as a “failed round,” expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of progress.
On the Serbian side, Petar Petković, head of the Serbian delegation, described the talks as challenging. He emphasized that his team had insisted on the establishment of the Association of Serbian-majority municipalities in Kosovo, a key issue in the ongoing dialogue.
