Kaja Kallas Stresses Ohrid Agreement and Accountability for Terrorist Attack During First Meetings with Kurti and Vučić

The newly appointed head of EU foreign policy, Kaja Kallas, has commented on her initial separate meetings with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Kallas emphasized that the only path to EU membership for both countries is through the normalization of relations based on the Ohrid Agreement. She reiterated that this agreement remains the cornerstone of the European Union’s efforts to foster dialogue and resolve the long-standing issues between Kosovo and Serbia.

In addition, Kallas welcomed the commitment to full cooperation following the recent terrorist attack in Zubin Potok, which caused damage to the Ibar-Lepenc water canal.

“The perpetrators of this act must face justice,” she stated, underlining the need for accountability in the wake of such violent acts.
