U.S. and Swiss soldiers from the NATO-led Regional Command East conducted a joint training exercise focusing on aerial and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) capabilities using U.S. Blackhawk helicopters at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo.

This exercise is part of KFOR’s daily mission to support all communities in Kosovo.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999, contributing to a safe environment and freedom of movement for all, in an impartial manner.

KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security providers,” stated NATO in their announcement.
